EpiGenesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a privately held drug discovery and development company focused on respiratory disease. The company has an integrated drug discovery platform that can screen compounds developed with its gene identification and validation technology against animal models of respiratory disease that closely mirror human disease states (particularly with asthma).
The company’s lead compound, EPI-12323 is an inhaled non-glucocorticoid steroid that targets the inflammatory and airway obstruction cascade in the asthmatic lung. EPI-12323 has pronounced anti-inflammatory and bronchodilator activity, and is not expected to exhibit any of the classical side effects of glucocorticoid steroids.
